The Essex Equipment Service provides a wide variety of services to the people of Essex working in partnership with five Primary Care Trusts and three district councils, in addition to the Essex Occupational Therapy Service and Fostercare Service. We operate as an integrated provider within the meaning of the 99 Health Act flexibilities. We have service level agreements with all partners which specify precise service requirements and performance standards.

We strive to be innovative in our approach. Any service for statutory organisations can be provided through a service level agreement. Recent innovations include provision of equipment prior to elective surgery, direct commissioning to a technician for falls prevention and equipment for all new and existing foster homes.
