Colchester Recycling Roadshows

Want to know more about anything to do with recycling? Then come along to one of Colchester Borough Council’s town centre Recycling Roadshows.

Due to the success of last year’s events, the Recycling Roadshows will be held again this year on the first Saturday of each month from April through to October (except in August). The Council’s recycling team will be on hand from 9am until 2pm in Culver Street East, close to JJB Sports and the Co-Op to answer questions and to offer advice.

The date and theme of the roadshows are as follows (themes subject to change):

  • 4 October – Street litter recycling

Love Food Hate Waste goes on tour!

With the average family throwing away £610 of food each year (that’s £50 a month!) the Love Food Hate Waste Road Show is going on tour during October to help people reduce the amount of food they throw away. As well as offering lots of helpful tips and advice we will also be giving away free spaghetti measurers and food storage boxes to get you started, plus the chance to win over £70 worth of food waste prevention gadgets!

Come and see us!

  • Wednesday 8th October – Hadleigh Farmers Market
  • Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October – Essex Food Show, Cressing Temple Barns
  • Wednesday 22nd October – Rayleigh Farmers Market
