Essex Benefits Plus, incorporating the Independent Living Fund Team, supports staff to maximise income in Essex. We do this by offering Benefits advice, training and information, delivered by our team of specialist Benefits Advisers.

Formerly known as the Benefits, Community Legal Service and Independent Living Fund Service, the re-launch marks the end of an extensive review of our activities; but the beginning of our new service.

Our services have been restructured and reviewed to enable us to deliver more of our services to the front line, helping Essex through the downturn.

We have implemented a number of efficiencies to enable us to deliver:

• Additional helpline hours
• New training courses
• An online training booking system
• New and improved information resources
• More events and opportunities to maximise income for Essex Residents
