Essex County Council is in the process of working with public sector partners in preparing an 'Economic Assessment' of the area. Our Economic Assessment will identify the key factors enabling and constraining sustainable economic development in Essex. Through it, we will be able to provide a clear understanding of the local economy and be able to target the right projects to the right areas in Essex. It is our intention to use the economic assessment process to rationalize the collection and deployment of information relevant to our economy.
We are currently analysing the first wave of data available to us. Datasets and analysis will appear here over the next few months and we will keep these pages constantly updated.
