Cudmore Grove is located at the eastern end of Mersea Island, with fine views across the Colne and Blackwater estuaries. Come and walk the sea wall, explore the shore and watch for wildlife. Behind the sandy beach is an area of cliff top and grassland providing a tranquil open landscape for picnics, flying kites and other outdoor activities.

By car: Follow the B1025 for 10 miles south of Colchester and Mersea Island and take the left hand fork to East Mersea for three miles. The country park is at the end of Bromans Lane. The route is well signposted. To plan your journey to the park visit the Traveline website www.traveline.info

8.00 am until dusk, daily.

Pay and display car park:
Cars - full day ticket £2; tax exempt vehicles - no charge: motercycles - no charge; Coaches by permit only.

Excess charge for failure to display a valid ticket - £60 (reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days).

Season tickets available.

Facilities:

Bird Hide. Toilets. The information Room has recently been extended to offer refreshments at weekends and school holidays as well as housing displays and leaflets about the park.

Access:

A flat site with fine views and easy walking ground mostly accessible by wheelchair. Disabled parking bays. Toilets for disabled access.

Events:

Series of events throughout the year including guided walks. Rangers are available to lead guided walks and talks for organised groups by request.
