About Marsh Farm
A working farm and country park (350 acres) adjoining the River Crouch. Whatever the weather you can enjoy a wonderful day out at Marsh Farm. On the farm trail there are sheep, cattle, pigs, ponies, chickens, goats, pets' barn, indoor and out door play areas,visitor centre, tea room and gift shop.
There are beautiful riverside walks along the sea walls where you can look out across a landscape of saltmarsh, grazing marsh and borrow dykes. Much of the area is designated as a nature reserve and as a site of special scientific interest and the marshes and freshwater lakes attract a large variety of wild birds.
How to find us:
We are in South Woodham Ferrers, which is 12 miles south of Chelmsford, easily accessible from the A130, A12, A127 and M25. From the A130, follow the brown tourist signs to Marsh Farm. To plan your journey to the park visit the Traveline website www.traveline.info.

Parking:
Free parking at visitor centre car park and riverside car park. Coach parties welcome. This is a good starting point for local walks.
Facilities:
Farm trail, tea room, gift shop, new outdoor adventure playground, soft play area, toilets, baby changing facilities. The visitor centre is an ideal starting point for exploring the country park and nature reserve.
Attractions:
Pony rides, tractor and trailer rides, craft activities, pet handling and birthday parties. (Additional charges may apply)

Special events: Lambing, Shearing Weekend, Pet Week, Guinea Pig Shows, Pirates and Mermaids, Summer Fun, Harvest weekend, Pumpkin Week and Christmas on the Farm.
Education:
Self guided farm trail around working farm with cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens and pets. Guided tours tailored to your groups' needs are available on request (extra charge). Demonstrations availabl. 1 adult supervisor free with every 5 paying children with advanced booking.
