From October 2008, Essex County Council introduced the all Essex bus timetable book.

Following the introduction of the concessionary pass allowing free travel across the county and beyond our customers have been telling us they would prefer all bus timetables in one place, rather than having to purchase several area guides to cover the county.  This demand was reflected in the results of a recent customer survey which showed one countywide book to be preferred over the current five books.

The book costs £1 and is available from libraries, tourist information centres, high street newsagents and some WH Smiths. 

It is also possible to buy the book directly from Essex County Council by post, using the order form to the right hand side of this page.

Benefits of the timetable book include:

• Value for money – previously it would have cost £2.50 to obtain this information by purchasing all five books.  It was also difficult to purchase books for areas outside of your immediate vicinity.
• Increased access to services for all, especially concessionary pass holders, who can now plan their journeys from one easy source.
• This new book will hold bus route maps for services across the whole county

The new book will still be published three times a year.
