This is central Government-Funded financial support available for higher education courses such as those leading to degrees, HND, DipHE and PGCE.
In most cases this consists of a maintenance loan/grant, partly based on your household income, and a non income assessed fee loan.
All students starting a course from 2009 should ring the Student Loans Company for an application form on 08456 077 577 or visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance. Essex County Council is only administering Student Finance for students who started their course prior to September 2009.
