We make appropriate provision for pupils who are unable to access school for specific reasons. This may be for medical reasons, where a pupil has been permanently excluded from school, for pupils who experience psychological difficulties affecting their school attendance (anxious school refusers) or possibly due to pregnancy.

This provision is an interim measure and pupils are expected to return to school as soon as it is appropriate to do so. In the case of excluded pupils, tuition is provided at Integrated Support Centres until such time as it is felt pupils are ready to move on.
