Welcome to the overview of the range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities which are available to teachers and support staff in schools through the Essex School Improvement and Advisory Services and in particular through the Advisory and Inspection Service.
The activities offered include whole raft of school/consortia-based consultancy activities which can be customised and designed to meet your individual requirements as well as courses or conferences where you can join with others to learn together and share good practice. Whichever approach is taken to CPD it is fundamental that the activity makes a difference to your pupils, your school and yourself and to that end all AIS activities are evaluated and build in opportunities for delegates to plan their Next Steps to follow up the activity with colleagues so that they know what they have learned and how and when it can be applied in practice.
