The Young Essex Assembly (YEA) is an elected group of young people from across Essex.
There are 75 members of the YEA, this mirrors the number of County Councillors in each locality.
Its aim is to give all young people in Essex a voice, achieved by working in partnership with young people and organisations throughout Essex.
Research was conducted with over 24,000 young people in Essex responding, this data was used to inform the YEA on the county priorities,which were the Environment, Sex and Relationship Education, Transport and Leisure.
In addition to this 12 YEA members have been elected to represent Essex on the UK Youth Parliament, working with central government.
