Shaping the future of compact urban developments

We have a huge challenge ahead to accommodate the very substantial growth set out in the East of England Plan: Essex has to find space for more than 110,000 new homes in the next 15 years in an already densely populated county.Essex County Council considers it essential to rethink how we plan, build and use our urban areas, to learn from best practice in the UK and abroad, and to show regional leadership on sustainable development.
