Emergencies and community safety

Essex County Council plays a key role in planning for and responding to emergencies across the county.  Working together with district and borough councils, as well as partner organisations including Essex Police and Essex County Fire & Rescue, we develop contingency plans to cover incidents ranging from major flooding to pandemic flu outbreaks. With effective planning we are able to quickly respond to any emergencies in the county.
