The Essex Heritage Conservation Record (EHCR) is a computerised database of all listed buildings and all known archaeological sites in the county. There are over 30,000 entries on the database, backed up by maps, photographs, drawings and written accounts. The Record can be consulted in County Hall during normal office hours.
