A large haul of counterfeit DVDs, including the new James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace', were seized by Essex County Council Trading Standards over the weekend.
The DVDs, including a number of recent cinema releases, were seized from a trader operating outside North Weald Market on Saturday 15th November.

The US presidential race may be over, but now there is another election for Essex young people to get excited about - and they can play an active role in this one.
From December 1-5 everyone between the ages of 11 and 19 who either lives or is educated in Essex will be able to cast their votes for the Young Essex Assembly (YEA).

An all-party group have been invited to consider part night street-lighting following trials which has revealed falls in crime during the hours which street-lights have been switched off.
Two pilot schemes carried out in the county over the past eighteen months have involved switching-off most of the street lights in residential areas in Uttlesford and Maldon for around five hours at night in each district (between 12 midnight and 5am).
